Runners must arrive on time

The beauty of running on Governors Island is that you have a beautiful ferry ride to the island and the down side is if you miss it you miss the race!

For 2013 we have hired the COURSEN as our primary ferry to Governors Island. The COURSEN is the large passenger ferry that provides daily service to Governors Island. There are 2 runs specifically for GOGI 10K Runners a 7:00am and a 7:30am ferry. Each ferry run will accommodate around 700 to 800 runners. The race has a 1,200 person cap so friends and families are welcome for the early morning start. Please be on time and load onto the ferry quickly as its takes quite some time to load 700 passengers.

It is a short walk to Colonel's Row and the festival area. There will be coffee and bagels in the morning. Follow the direction of the volunteers when you arrive.
